Good-bye Brody

Well, unfortunately we had to take our dog Brody, who we had adopted 2 1/2 years ago back to the SPCA. He was a super fun dog, and we sure enjoyed our time with him. As Parker began to become mobile, he and Brody weren't the best of friends. Parker thought they were and would try to love on Brody, lay on him, etc. and Brody would try and bite Parker. Brody always did great with the other kids, but as we continued to see Brody try and bite, we had to make the decision to take him back to the shelter where we had adopted him and know that they would find him a great home without any small children. I told the kids and Craig that it was going to be a VERY long time before we got another one. Well, long story short, we have another dog! We went to Petsmart one afternoon for something for the fish, and left after having adopted a puppy from one of the rescue groups that was there that day. Surprisingly enough, Charity & Clark both agreed on his name, "Chocolate Chip" and they call him "Chip." He is Lab & possibly Saint Bernard. Yes, he will be a big dog. He is cute and furry, and growing fast! Here is a picture of him laying on Parker's legs when Parker was so sick and had crawled off of my lap and laid down and went to sleep on the floor. Needless to say, Chip and Parker have become the best of friends! Parker says his name, and loves to try and call him by patting his legs and trying to make a noise like we make to get him to come. Very precious!
